Junior IT Consultant / Junior Cloud Consultant

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Junior IT Consultant to join our Managed Cloud Services team and help our customers to be successful with ArcGIS.  Managed Cloud Services host and maintain enterprise-wide environments for customers across a range of market sectors.

You will be responsible for supporting existing live services and as a team everyone contributes to service improvements, for example through automation or process improvements.

A key focus of your role will be to develop your own skills, technical expertise and knowledge.

Your key responsibilities as a Junior IT Consultant / Junior Managed Cloud Services Consultant would be to:

• Grow your knowledge: Expand and deepen your knowledge of Cloud technology and the ArcGIS Platform as well develop a good knowledge of service delivery and ITIL.
• Incident Management: monitor incident trends and undertake a proactive (as well as reactive where required) approach to service-related issues including root cause analysis.

• Morning Checks:  Take responsibility for service-related checks on a rota basis.

• Service Improvement: identify opportunities to automate, streamline and improve services, processes and reporting.

• Already have some experience with Azure / AWS and have worked in a technical role for at least 2 years since graduating.
• Would like to develop your Esri, IT and cloud technology skills. Esri skills are not mandatory but do let us know if you have used our software before.  
• Enjoy problem solving and have an ability to understand a challenge from multiple perspectives.
• Have an aptitude for technological improvements.
• Can clearly communicate technical ideas, whether to other technical peers or non-technical project managers or customers.
• Have good interpersonal, written/verbal communication, multi-tasking, and presentation skills.
• Can develop strong interdepartmental and cross-functional working relationships within a collaborative team environment.
• Are self-motivated, good at creating and nurturing relationships, and enthusiastic about delivering a high-quality service.

Security:  Because of the types of data and clients we work with, all our positions require successful candidates to undergo a basic security clearance.

Location - Whilst you would be home-based, you will still need to attend some meetings and make some customers visits in person, we are happy for you to work from home, one of our offices or a mixture of both.
